Our next three shows are 100% awesome!

4/20/24: We fly to Oahu for the 1 year anniversary of Once-a-Month Punk at the Irish Rose! featuring Smitz, El Sancho, 13th Legion and Completely Insane! This show will be completely insane!

5/11/24: We head over the hill to Hilo with our tuxedos for the Punk Prom! We’re joined by Nancy Boy, KOA, STD, Hellion and 2 Years Apart for a massively awesome all ages fun show at the Hilo Town Market!

6/13/24: BAD COP / BAD COP is coming to Kona and El Sancho and KOA are opening up for them! The Sailor Jerry Festival, an annual tattoo and music fest on Oahu, is celebrating their 10th anniversary and decided to expand a bit with an outer island show the night before! This is a free all ages event at Willie’s Hot Chicken!

We just released a new EP on Bandcamp called Live at the Luau! and it’s killer! Four songs from a show at the King Kamehameha Luau Grounds in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii!

This was from a show we played in December with the Cherry Poppin’ Daddies. Big crowd of very confused old people, who kinda tolerated our crazy punk rock shenanigans while waiting for their swing music to start.

It was one of those rare shows where everything is mic’d and the sound technicians were on top of everything, so we were able to get a really good recording right off the mixing board.

We pulled the four unreleased songs from the set and released them as an EP so you can check out some of the new music we’re working on! We’re about to record a new album and these are some of the songs that will be on it. Get it at https://elsanchohawaii.bandcamp.com/album/live-at-the-luau

Speaking of shows, it is a punk rock bonanza on the Big Island in March! We’ve got lots of shows coming up, and I’ll tell you about it right about… here!
Friday March 1st: Don’s 70th Birthday Party! Don is a Sancho fanatic who works at Willie’s Hot Chicken and he’s turning 70, so he wanted a big punk rock party. El Sancho, 9IRON and The 1201 are all performing for him. Come on down to this FREE all ages event at Willie’s Hot Chicken in Kailua-Kona. 5pm til’ close!

Friday March 8th: Parker School Love Fest in Waimea! Parker school students have been trying to get us to perform on campus for a few years, and it finally worked out! Love Fest is an annual benefit event set up by students, who choose a charity to raise money for each year. This year, it is the Daniel R. Sayre Memorial Foundation, which raises money to help buy lifesaving equipment for the Hawaii County Fire Department. It’s a cause dear to our hearts as Captain Tony, our drummer, was a friend of Daniel’s before he passed. Also on the bill, the grammy-winning Honokaa Jazz Band, and Nancy Boy, one of our favorite bands on the island! 3pm-6pm, $5 for kids, $10 for adults, open to all.

Saturday March 9th: Yet another show! This time in Hilo at the Hilo Town Market, with D.I.! One of our first shows ever was opening for D.I., so we’re excited to do it again. This will be a big Hawaii punk rock hoedown with FOUR opening bands: Badass Noise, El Sancho, Kauz of Affliction, and Nancy Boy – it’s an El Sancho/Nancy Boy double header! $25 all ages 6pm – 69 Waianuenue Ave in Hilo.

Friday March 22nd: Back in Kona, this time helping out the Voodoo Glow Skulls with their 2024 Hawaiian Islands tour! The punk/ska veterans from Southern California are here to get you jumping, and we’ll see if the Kona Elks Lodge can handle all the chaose that the Glow Skulls bring! Also on the bill: Kauz of Affliction, El Sancho, Badass Noise. $25 all ages 6pm at Kona Elks Lodge, 75-170 Hualalai Rd in Kailua-Kona!

And finally… Saturday March 23: Another show with the Voodoo Glow Skulls, Kauz of Affliction, El Sancho and Badass Noise, but this time in Hilo, back at the Hilo Town Market! $25 all ages 6pm!

Coming up this Saturday 10/28, El Sancho turns into EL MISFITS! We’ll have a special guest singer joining us at Willie’s Hot Chicken for an all-Misfits set, in full costumes!

EL MISFITS opens the show and it starts prompty at 6pm, so get there early or miss it!

Also on the bill, The Rockaways (Ramones tribute from California), KOA, and Granite Saints (from Oahu). Plus a costume contest and other fun!

This show is all ages, free, and outdoors. And starts at 6pm, so show up early, did I mention that??!?!

Also there are THREE different punk shows going on around the Big Island on Saturday, has that ever happened before? I know you can’t check them all out, but go to at least one!

This past week, against all better judgement, Al Sancho had two solo gigs opening up for Danish surf-rock legends The Tremolo Beer Gut. These were unannounced and unplanned shows, so I apologize for not telling you about them, but that is likely for the better!

The Tremolo Beer Gut were fantastic and rocked the socks off the crowds in Waimea and Kona.

Next up, El Sancho heads to Hilo September 30th with our Puna Pals Badass Noise to open for Houston and the Dirty Rats, all the way from New Jersey. This relentless touring machine of a punk band has played every state except Hawaii, and we’re helping them fulfill that dream. Also on the bill, we’re excited to check out Hilo’s new transexual hardcore band Nancy Boy!
