We’re taking a little summer vacation from the non-stop world of punk rock, but we’ll be back in action Labor Day weekend with two awesome shows with some punk rock legends and incredible local Hawaiian punk bands.
Saturday Sept 2nd in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii:
M.D.C. (Millions of Dead Cops) head to Big Island for the first of two Hawaii shows! This one on the Big Island brings Dave Dictor and crew to the iconic Ali’i Drive live music venue Gertrude’s Jazz Bar. Put your jazz hands away for this show though and get your slam dancing shoes on! Also featuring Puna bad boys Badass Noise, El Sancho and Kona’s drunk-punkers the Alcohaoles. $20 advance tickets at Eventbrite, or $25 at the door. This is a tiny venue so I’d suggest you get your tickets early!
Sunday Sept 3rd in Honolulu, Hawaii:
Local Punks presents the epic FEAR-WELL fest featuring Lee Ving and the legendary FEAR! They just announced that this will be their final tour, and this is one of the last few shows of the tour, so it is likely your last chance to see them if you happened to miss them over the last 46 years of their existence!
M.D.C. also joins FEAR on this show, plus LA’s Narcoleptic Youth, and a whole mess of Hawaiian punk bands from Oahu and the Big Island:
- Badass Noise (Big Island)
- Blood Money
- Undercity Kings
- El Sancho (Big Island)
- 86 List
- Full Send
- Anti-Matter
- Superspreaders
- Royal Sham
- Granite Saints
– 13th Legion
This show starts at 12pm and goes to 12am so hydrate properly and get a good night’s rest (even if you go to the MDC show in Kona the night before!)
